I'm dating a JW, and need some advice!
by changtech ini'm new here, and have read a lot of topics here.
this site has been very helpful to me in the short time i have been here.. what has drawn me here is the fact that i have been dating an active jw guy for about 9 months now (i was raised catholic, but am currently searching for a faith that i feel is right..i have yet to find it).
we are very much in love, but our differences in beliefs have caused a lot of problems.

my cat died today... i need consoling...
by theinfamousone inthis is the guy that sat on my razor blades the one time i was thinking of cutting myself... this is the guy that everytime my dad beat me, would come to my room and lay with me... this is the guy that one time jumped into the bathtub with me while i was crying after a brutal beating, the cat hated water... this is a cat that was more family to me than my own father and mother combined... this was my best friend... .
today i had to do the hardest thing i ever did, i had to choose to have him put down... and as he fought the vet, and tried to bite her, i put my hand on his head, and he stopped struggling... and as they put the last needle into his leg, he purred until he died... the vet says she has never seen that before... this was my best friend and i had to kill him... fuck, im a baby, but i miss him soooo much.
the infamous one.

Would you want to know?
by lola28 inlets say there is chance you have an illness and you can take a few blood tests that will tell you if you do in fact have this illness, would you want to know ?
keep in mind that there is no treatment and nothing you can do to "make it better", what would you do?
would you like to know or would you rather not find out ?.

Lola, You said if there was nothing that could be done about this disease... but you did not say terminal. There is a big difference. I would want to know either way. I have one that can not be altered... not contagious, not corrective and not terminal (as a rule) so if you need to talk pm me anytime. Ok? cabs

Hello There I am not certain if you remember me.. cabs.... Mary. We talked on that phone someone game that Mrs McDuckett set up last summer? Well you spoke and I croaked... grin. I just came back on today. I have an idea or two that I would like to share with you about child safety ... from my experience in the realm of dealing with the predators. I actually was in contact a few years ago with a Canadian Agency for Child Protection regarding these matters. My email is [email protected] Nice to touch base with you again and hope that you enjoyed your time in Fla. cabs

I am back! For several months I could not write anything on this site no matter how hard I tried. Even the moderators who could get my acct working through their machines could not get it going from mine no matter how much good advice. Finally I stopped trying through AOL and am accessing using Firefox. I am so happy! HOpefully, this will be a complete resolution and I will be all set from this point on. I am winding down on my first year of knowing the truth by finding you all. I went to the ocean for the first time this summer, went to Europe, Tenn. to have more homesteading training, just came back from upper west side of Ontario where I was looking at some modest homesteads hoping to find one in my price range... perhaps even renting at first. I think that I may have done that. Oh yes, 2 knee surgeries ! Man, did I really miss you guys through all of that. Lets not lose touch again... cabs p.s. Thank you to those that kept in contact off from the board I would have pulled my hair out without you.

Retiring today!
by iamfreenow intoday is my 60th birthday, so i am now officially retired!
actually, my last day at work was yesterday, and my colleagues gave me flowers, wine, chocolate and took me out to lunch.. this is the first birthday i've ever had as a non jehovahs witness, and it feels very strange to be even acknowledging it, let alone celebrating.
i am going out tomorrow evening with trev, linda and a few other fading or former jws for a curry at a local restaraunt, which i'm very much looking forward to.

it was looking great with all of the damage repaired.......... but then just a few minutes ago i was driving down the highway and something, i don't know what, but something very hard and heavy slammed into my hood ripping three gouges all the way through the stripes and paint and all the way deep into the metal.
